Hey all,
I was just wondering if the new Red Book 'Age of Darkness' included all from the previous red book as well, or if I would need both to field everything on offer.
Many thanks.

I think the website says you need the both the crusade red book and 40k rule book in order to use it.

This new book contains the special rules and units for the Legions published so far, to go with it you need the Legiones Astartes Crusade Army List book, that has all the shared units in.

But also note that a new legion book is on its way out soon too. It might be worth waiting.

The new Age of Darkness Legions book is essentially an Updated replacement for the Red Istvaan Legions book already out.
It contains legion specific units, rights of War, primarchs and Special characters for every legion out so far Minus the Space Wolves, Thousand Sons (un-released), or the Blood Angels, Dark Angels, and White Scars( whose basics are in book 6 and have no special characters or primarchs yet)

I understand that I need the Legiones Astartes Army List book also, thanks for letting me know that is getting updated @welshhoppo - didn't know that.
@Angelos, you're saying that it contains all of the rules from the Istvaan book, plus the new ones, right?

@Angelos, you're saying that it contains all of the rules from the Istvaan book, plus the new ones, right?
It contains the Special Units, Characters, Primarchs and Special Rules/Rights of War for:
Alpha Legion
Imperial Fists
Ultramarines
Deathguard
World Eaters
Raven Guard
Emperors Children
Salamanders
Iron Hands
Iron Warriors
Sons of Horus
Word Bearers
Night Lords
All of their previous (books 1-5) Rules are included, and updated some includingredients points changes, rules changes, and stat alterations. It is Unclear if the Additonal New legion specific Rights of War for the above legions from book 6 are included.
However it is Certain that the Rights of War and Special Rules from book 6 for:
Blood Angels
Dark Angels
White Scars
Are not included.
And nothing for:
Space Wolves
Thousand Sons
I hope that helps.
