Hello All:
I'd like to start this out by saying that the idea I'm proposing -- which entails building a model whose components I've already ordered

-- is dependent on one very important variable that I need your input on. I'll get to that in a moment.
If you don't think the Khorne Skullcannon model is

then I suppose you may as well leave the thread.
If you're still here, congrats: you have proppa taste in things killy, and the Skullcannon chariot isn't that.
It looks like a Harley had a baby with a mongoloid cow.
So I thought for my new
DK army I'm starting out... why not make something more betta?
My idea is vaguely 'Nid Biovore inspired.
I propose (and already bought, again) taking a Forgefiend/Maulerfiend and making it into a "trike" with two back legs and a front crusher.
Below is a crappy photoshop of what I had in mind.
My questions are:
A) I've never seen either of these models in person and just went by what I could guess from comparing various codex pics. I'm assuming that , if anything the skullcannon pieces in my mock-up are a bit big. I hope not by much. Are the sizes going to work out? If anything I could bulk them both up with some card/g.s.
B) Do you think I should go for the trike? Or should I instead opt to just use the walker legs? If so, all forgefiend (small) legs? Or use the maulerfiend front legs as legs (with feet)? If I went the route of using all legs and no wheels, do you think it would look like something that could reach chariot speed?
By the way. Buying in individual pieces (for the cannon and wheels) and a mostly complete fiend box on Ebay, I was able to accomplish all this for about $50. A little more expensive than using a "proppa" ugly piece, but worth it
IMO.
