Hello All:

I'd like to start this out by saying that the idea I'm proposing -- which entails building a model whose components I've already ordered -- is dependent on one very important variable that I need your input on. I'll get to that in a moment.

If you don't think the Khorne Skullcannon model is then I suppose you may as well leave the thread.

If you're still here, congrats: you have proppa taste in things killy, and the Skullcannon chariot isn't that.
It looks like a Harley had a baby with a mongoloid cow.

So I thought for my new DK army I'm starting out... why not make something more betta?

My idea is vaguely 'Nid Biovore inspired.
I propose (and already bought, again) taking a Forgefiend/Maulerfiend and making it into a "trike" with two back legs and a front crusher.

Below is a crappy photoshop of what I had in mind.

My questions are:

A) I've never seen either of these models in person and just went by what I could guess from comparing various codex pics. I'm assuming that , if anything the skullcannon pieces in my mock-up are a bit big. I hope not by much. Are the sizes going to work out? If anything I could bulk them both up with some card/g.s.

B) Do you think I should go for the trike? Or should I instead opt to just use the walker legs? If so, all forgefiend (small) legs? Or use the maulerfiend front legs as legs (with feet)? If I went the route of using all legs and no wheels, do you think it would look like something that could reach chariot speed?

By the way. Buying in individual pieces (for the cannon and wheels) and a mostly complete fiend box on Ebay, I was able to accomplish all this for about $50. A little more expensive than using a "proppa" ugly piece, but worth it IMO.

Hahahaha!

Well, yeah in a way it'd be similar to that, but instead of the front arms being so very long, I'll be using the legs as "forks" like a motorcycle.
There will only be one wheel, which is really more of a steamroller-type cylinder.

In a way, its like a chariot being pushed from behind rather than drawn.

Here's a better angle to see the piece on the original model.

Yes but it's probably not the most tasteful language.
The original model is awful imo, the balance and proportion is all wrong and it just looks like it would fall apart, not be able to steer and all sorts of terribleness.
Your concept would be an improvement it'd be interesting to see where this goes.

Oh I'm very sorry, I didn't realize you were Hindu....

Haha , really though, I refuse to say "developmentally disabled bovine" because the result of what probably started off as a really awesome concept is just that awful. IMHO of course.

I'll have to wait until early next week for the skrap to arrive and I'll tack something up.

I still really wish that anyone who stumbles on this and has a better familiarity with the models chimes in to answer my questions though!
