Subject: Chaos, and the glory of deepstrike! Mayhem Vs Suicide Terminators

Just wondering what people think of a Deep-striking Mayhem pack Vs Terminators with melta weapons.
For those who don't know, the mayhem pack includes 3 Hellbrutes with It will not die, start in reserve and deep-strike at the same time on 1 reserve roll.
Please tell me what you think is better and or more interesting! I kinda like the Idea of the mayhem pack, looks bloody crazy
If you think either is terrible please do tell

Terminators don't require as much investment and have less of a footprint, making scattering less an issue.

I dunno, for the same point value 6 or 7 terminators will have the same size deepstrike, but what is important to think about, is survivability, combat capability, during the turn of and after the deepstike

And Helbrutes have very little in the way of combat ability. The FAQ on grenades helps, but not by a lot. In addition, they have little shooting power. Terminators with Combi-Weapons are more likely to kill their target.

I've tried the Mayhem Pack. The problem is that you don't have enough shots to reliably crack open rhinos. 3 terminators with 3 combi weapons have a better chance of taking a rhino down then one multi melta. You're basically hoping to get the fire frenzy result.
I would go with the terminators.

That's a tough one really. I always used both of them actually, for some MSU fun and to give the enemy sth. to think about. Unfortunately Helbrutes are a bit expensive for what they bring, even with all the formation boni. Termis are good to fill up points, Oblits are good to actually get things done, Helbrutes will take some pressure from your Marines.

The helbrutes can really screw up a lot of plans for your enemy.
Just dont use them only for popping vehichles.
Double fist with double flamer feths up all kinds of units.
In low point games, three helbrutes tying up three units, will let you go wherever you want without fear of all their shooting.

A min unit of termies with combi meltas is 112 points.
A min Mayhem pack is 300 points.
You get the same number of shots (unless you roll fire twice on the chart, which is counteracted by rolling don't shoot at all), but the dreadnaughts have some insurance in that they have multi meltas, so when you inevitably scatter 7 or more inches away, you're still able to get that 2d6 penetration roll.
I've used both and it's really no contest, the mayhem pack has severely underperformed every single time I've used them while the termies often get the job done (~60% success ratio). Neither is something to rely on unfortunately.

It isn't the same number of shots. You're able to get more Terminators as there's still 188 points to spend to be comparable, and that still has less a footprint.

I would say the helbrutes, but that's because I hate terminators and love dreadnoughts.
