So a quad mortar can throw out 4 of these per turn. Each template stays in place for the rest of the game and counts as dangerous terrain. Each each template considered it's own patch of dangerous terrain or do you look at the full set of continguous/overlapping templates and consider that to be a single piece?

Dangerous Terrain is Dangerous terrain It's not Segmented, Each time its fired it Created More if more than one patch is connected yeah, its a single section of Dangerous terrain, If there is a gap then it is Two or more sections and any movement hampering/damage dealing effects apply for moving into/oout of Dangerous terrain.

Essentially if you use these a lot, print yourself out (And i suggest laminate) 10-20 Simple Templates, that way you can leave em on the board. It makes it much easier to visualize.
