As a massive star wars fan,I've been looking into Xwing. I've played alot of games borrowing models and I think I've got the hang of it. Here's my list (based off imperial veterans)

Tie defenders:

Countess Ryad: Twin ion mk2, TIE/X7, veteran instincts
Maarek Stele: Flechette cannon, ion pulse missiles,TIE/D

TIE bombers:
Gamma squad pilot: TIE shuttle, tactician, recon specialist.

What do you guys think?

I don't think you'll need the TI mk2 w/ ryad. I've found that the Defender doesn’t need the extra greens that often since the only red maneuvers are 1- and 2-turns... without something like PTL, you're not getting stress that often. And Ryad has all the green k-turns... and because of the x7 she's going to want to go speed 3 anyway

The bomber... i dunno about the crew. My feeling is that if you take Tactician, you're not planning on using the bomber to deal damage, only stress so why bother with the extra focusing?

Those are just my initial thoughts...

True, I honestly don't know what to put on the bomber. I want the tactician and if I get rid of the recon specialist it frees up a few points for something else, possibly missiles?

But with x7 on the other Defender and Shuttle on the Bomber it kind of leaves no missile slots left

I can put it on Maarek

Drop the ion pulse missiles for an ion cannon. The flechette cannon is almost always worse than an ion cannon, and the missiles don't work with the TIE/D title. You should probably also trade Maarek for Vessery, the combination of the TIE/D title (with tractor beam in most cases) and free target locks on both shots is just amazing.

Ryad really needs push the limit. You get green k-turns every turn, so you want to abuse that power. With PTL you have focus + evade every turn, along with your choice of barrel roll or target lock.

The bomber is just questionable at best. It's not the worst thing ever, but what role is it filling in your list? Is there any reason you have it besides the fact that it's the other ship in the box with the TIE defender?

That's part of it, but the other part is that I just like the model and want to use it...
