Hello all.

Got an event coming up soon and decided to take my Space Marines using the Crimson Fists chapter tactics.

I have a unit of Devastator centurions and love them to bits (Who does not), but I have never tried out the assault version. I think Kantor really compliments them well so decided to make a list.

So yh let me know what you think, feedback welcome and cheers .

Honestly, I think that you are sacrificing your buffs. Kantor with no sternguard, and no devs/cent devs to take advantage of the chapter tactics. You are giving away some decent rules.

That said, looks like a fun list to play.

Drop the landraider, since you can pod the Centurions, sure they don't get to assault out of a can but they get there faster and free up points. That extra 200 points can go to Devs, sternguard and Pod for them .

Has anyone ever effectively used AssCents, outside of "theory-hammer?" I know the numbers of at-initiative AP2 armorbane/fleshbane attacks they can put out, especially with pedro attached, but they're soooo slowwwww. I mean, nothing sounds more fun than Pedro/AssCents jumping out of a land raider and wrecking shop... but it won't happen until, what.. turn 2 at the earliest? Looking at more likely turn 3, as any army with even a hint of mobility will just counter-deploy or kite that LR. For the points, I'd take Pedro with Honor Guard over AssCents every day. Use Pedro to tank AP2 wounds or even throw a cheap captain with a SS in there. You can (not like you'd want to) fit an insane amount of HG in a LR -- I think anything over 6 or so is overkill, as the power weapon attacks are going to annihilate most anything AP3 or above. I play Crimson Fists myself, and I think Pedro is best as a force multiplier... bring as many sternguard as you can, as that's sort of his thing. 2x 10-man SG in drop pods and an Honor Guard nearby would be pretty scary. Other trick i've been pondering is bring along my Inquisitor with the Liber Heresius and give that LR scout -- at least give it a shot of getting into assault range for turn 2.
