Subject: [500] - Eldar and Assassinorum - Is this cheddar?

So, for a laugh, I came up with this idea: Eldar Runeweaver Host (Primary): -Farseer Skyrunnerw/Shard of Anaris, Singing Spear [160 pts] -Windriders w/Shuriken Cannon [61 pts] -Fire Prism [125 pts] Officio Assassinorum Detachment (Secondary): -Vindicare Assassin [150 pts] [Total = 496 pts] The Runeweaver Host gives an automatic twin-link to the Fire Prism. The Shard of Anaris gets used to make using Eldritch Storm (if I get it) more reliable to use. Windriders are the Farseer's escort unit, and the Vindicare brings this to a 500 point level (while shooting anything the Eldar can't quite reach). The question here is, if you knew nothing about me, how would you feel if I brought this to a random pickup game?

Most 500 point "Kill Team" competitive events don't allow formations and some don't allow multiple detachments. That said, this is far from the worst 500 points of eldar so I'd be OK with it.

It drops the charge cost by one, making it easier to cast. Automatically Appended Next Post: Just realised I misread my codex again. Shard of Anaris is a weapon. I was looking for the Spirit Stone of Anath'lan...

That's what I thought. That should drop your farseer's cost to 130. Maybe take shuriken cannons on the remaining two bikers? You could also add a shuriken cannon to the prism

Unrelenting Rubric Terminator of Tzeentch

- Starts with 10 points
- Plays Eldar, -10 points
- Doesn't have scatbikes, +3 points
- Doesn't have WK +3 points
- Doesn't have Wraithguard +3 points
- Not spamming Warp Spiders +3 points
- Still has bikes and bikeseer -1 point
- Mixes Xenos and Imperials -2 points
10-10-2-1+3+3+3+3=9
Score >0, upper percentile of Eldar players, would play tentatively and reassess based on in game banter.

I would only play this if the model used for the Vindicare was either a Harlequin Deathjester or Illic Nightspear. "Counts as" Eldar Assassins are a cool concept. Imperial Assassins working with Eldar is not a cool concept.
As for the list, It's ok. Far from top of the line, but with good tactics, it should do fine

Yes, I was thinking of an Eldar stand-in for the Vindicare. The Allies of Convenience rules actually suit the path of the outcast quite well.
May look into getting an Eldar stand-in for each Assassin type. Though the anti-psyker one will be hard to explain. Or use

I actually had this very concept in mind when I converted my Harlequins. I was thinking along the lines of the Heroes Path formation, since they get many similar rules as Assassins, why not just use Assassin rules? My Vindicare is a Death Jester, my Callidus is a Troupe master with that Braided head and Neuro-Shredder (a very, VERY similar weapon in name, fluff and function), and my Eversor is a Solitaire using Wych Gauntlets. I admit that the Culexus was a challenge, but since the only character left to use was a ShadowSeer, I just went with her. It isn't a stretch of the imagination for a Psyker to be an anti-psyker, using their own psychic ability to block out those of their enemies. Afterall that is exactly what "Shadow in the Warp" is supposed to be for the Nids. And the ShadowSeer is established in the fluff to be a master at clouding the mind of its "audience" -

Noice. Gonna look into modelling that stuff up then. I'll need a rework of my paint stuff though.
