A Son of Horus would gain the Death Dealers rules, since its from his LA:Sons of Horus rules. But wouldnt get Warmaster's Portion as its part of a Rite of War.

STANNIS THE MANNIS

Sorry I had to take inspiration from your avatar.

I have usually seen Moritats with dual bolt pistols. The new models look ace.

So with the long march a moritat is BS6 re-rolling 1s on the first turn after scouting 12" and moving 12" with a jump pack and keeps shooting until he misses?

Can that be as good as it sounds?

Also would BS6 prevent plasma pistols from getting hot?

Thanks

It would prevent the Plasma Pistols from getting hot only if the second roll wasn't also a 1 and you aren't using Chain Fire.

EDIT: Wait I forgot Chain Firing Gets Hot weapons can't re-roll misses. Changes italicised.

Guys, check the big list of things Moritats are not affected by before getting excited.

No he wouldnt get anything from The Long March, because it is a RoW and Moritats are not affected by the bonus' from RoW. They only get (in this case) the Legiones Astartes: Sons of Horus rules. And no, nothing prevents something from getting hot, also the moment you overheat (on a 1 OR as 2) the attack stops with no re-rolls.

Does it not say in the new book that they can only get up to a maximum of 12 shots each and not unlimited now?

12 shots between both handguns, so use the Volkite Serpenta for more wound potential and no overheat.
