We all know that the biggest, meanest, orks are in charge overall.

What about among speed freaks and pilots?

Is the best rider/pilot in charge or is it still the biggest, toughest ork?

Basically, among the cult of speed is it driving/piloting ability that matters or who can beat who up out of the cockpit?

Da boss is in charge because he's the biggest, but he's also the biggest because he's in charge. A dominant ork naturally bulks up.

He'll have got his Skwadron Kommanda's shiny hat by either being the best pilot, or low kunnin', or by beating the old boss in a fight - but regardless, the old boss would have been the biggest ork in the skwadron and (having now won) he'll soon be the biggest.

Orks don't just get bigger and stronger as they grow; they also get faster and smarter. Compare how initiative goes up at the same rate as strength.

The more an ork fights the bigger he gets. The bigger he gets, the better a leader he becomes. The better a leader he becomes, the bigger he gets and the more fights he gets in. And the more he leads and fights the bigger he gets. Its a cyclical system.

That's the incredible thing about orks. They only improve, they cannot get worse over time, and everything they do makes them better at everything else so they can do the original thing better as well. They are literally the perfect organism.
