I'm fairly new to the game and I wanted to see if this was something legal within the rules. Essentially, I want to bring the Black Legion formation Bringers of Despair as a Formation Detachment to a Vanilla CSM CAD. Within the CAD I was planning on bringing a Kharybdis Assault Claw but put the formation with Abaddon and the Termies in there. Is all of that within the rules? Sorry if this is a noob question.

Only if your group doesn't use the draft FAQ's released by GW. I'd check with them about it, but even if they don't, when it stops being a draft and becomes an actual FAQ, then if they don't let you houserule that it's OK, then technically, no, you wouldn't be able to do it anymore.
