I was looking at the new deathwatch codex troop choice, the veterans and I wondered, is it possible to have both a bolter and a shotgun on one veteran?

RAW, it sure is.
I querried them on their FB page and they said they'd "Ask the rules team" and we've had no further confirmation.
Edit: They wrote you can't replace the shotgun with a bolter, or something silly along those lines. It was a non-answer. Waiting for more.
The way you do it is to
1.) Replace Bolter for a Shotgun
2.) Replace CCW for a Bolter
Surprise, you now have two guns.

Take it with a grain of salt, friend. GW has seemed to imply you CANT do both, despite it literally being written as the easiest "oh sure, you can" in the world.

Well twice the options, since he can still only fire 1.
And yeah, it's completely legal RAW. It's just as legal as 295 point wraithknights.

True, I think you still can only fire one unless you have a special rule saying otherwise.
