Ok so i was reading a topic here about experiences with "TImmies" now the OP was talking about his experiences with his. Now I am reading this and sounds like the Timmy was using 30k models and rules against a 40k army. I do some digging into 30k because I like the idea of it but not the cost (I have a BaC box but don't need another money sink). But after reading some FAQ I found on Forgeworld, it looks like you can use 30k Legion lists in a 40k game. Is this true? I can run a Legion and all its rules and RoW against in a 40k game? I already knew vehicles can be used in a 40k game using the "Relic" rule.

You can use fruit if you write your own rules and get your opponents consent.

But yes, the FW books do mention that you can use the 30K lists in 40K and make a few recommendations for adjustments to do so.

Yes both sets of factions use the same rules and BRB. They do play against each other often in the world. I've played 30k versus 40k many times over the past year and it works good. You'll come to find 30k is at a disadvantage till the points get to 2500 of higher. And don't let anyone go chicken little on you, primarchs and LoW cannot be taken till above certain points and cannot be more than 25% of your army total.

30k is a bit fluffier or narrative than the 40k factions.

But you also get 20+ man squads of marines which is kinda fun.
