Now that we have some experience with the new powers and the FAQ is giving us BOTH types of focus; things and opinions have changed.

Not having to swap powers out for the summoning power is very nice, but rolling once on change for a 66.6% chance at some high S low AP with a LoC seems worse when I'm giving up a free prescience.

I'm not sure how often to use change now, when do you?
Do you use any of the daemon psychic disciplines, what has been doing some good work for you?

I didn't use Daemon powers before the new charts, and haven't used them since the new charts. Malefic is my Lore of choice, with Biomancy/Telepathy Princes. This is especially true now the you no longer have to roll power 1 at a time.

When I assumed you didn't get Psychic focus, I also had to roll powers 1 at a time, swapping for the Primaris if I rolled a dud power. On more than 1 occasion, a further roll ended up getting my that same dud power anyway.
Now that I can just roll 3 dice at once on my chosen Lore, this will not happen again, essentially giving my extra change at getting the 1-2 powers I am trying to roll on that Discipline.

For my Tetrad, however, nothing will change. I roll my Tzeentch Prince all on Malefic fishing for Cursed Earth, my Slaanesh/Nurlge princes roll once on Telepathy fishing for Invis (or Shrouded for the Slaanesh princess), but otherwise will roll the rest on Biomancy.

IMO, the Nurgle and Slaanesh powers are crap and if you really want the change powers, take Fatweaver.

I've been using the Lord of change as my warlord and having him know the whole change power with the endless grimoire. That's been really great honestly. I still have Fatey but the issue I find is against certain eldar list that have a farseer or warlock in every squad. Otherwise I just absolutely wreck them. Null deploy then fly in, between the two beams, fatey's shriek, and the two novas, the eldar jetbike squads just get picked up.

When I play against knights my screamerstar just avoids the knights while fatey and loc fly around and D shot them until they die.

If I'm against a death star I can still roll him on malefic or div. With him as the warlord as well I roll the tzeentch table which is generally amazing.

Fateweaver now being able to summon a Burning Chariot with Change power #4 is a very nice addition to the toolbox. I use this a lot and am very pleased with the option. Dealing damage on the turn of summoning is a very nice tool against Eldars Jetbikes for instance who normaly just flee from a summoned unit. It's like a mini Heldrake thats not dependant on a fortunate reserveroll.

Appart from that I incidentaly use a ML2 Herald of Nurgle in a Plague Drone star. I've had a game where T7 Plaguedrones were quite a nuisance. The large blast AP2 withfire is sometimes usefull as well.

Fiery the angels fell; deep thunder rolled around their shores; burning with the fires of Orc.
