Hi everyone,
I hope this passes for an introduction:
After years of Magic the Gathering a friend of mine suggested in 1997 to try out this Warhammer
40k. I quickly got recruited by the guy above and played Black Legion until 4th edition. Got sidetracked by, you know,
life and skipped part of 4th and whole 5th edition.
In 2012 I started my slow way back into the hobby and there was no real question as to what faction I would play. I still had my old minis and lots of them were still unassembled and unpainted (of course).
During the last four years I learned how much the game itself as well as the expectations of others and myself towards the game experience and the hobby-side have changed and diversified. One of the biggest changes, however, surely has been in the infrastructure of the community, namely the use and possibilities of the interwebs.
Dakkadakka, amongst others, definetely helped me to learn all this and to find my way back into the hobby and to update my expectations and skills from a youngster to an adult with a passion for minis but little time. After such a long time of lurking and not contributing I felt it's about time to start to make it official and start contributing myself.
But first a big
thank you to all the members who inspired and helped me on my way back to the hobby with their opinions, lists, how-to's and pictures of their minis!
