I have recently sold all of my 40k stuff (there was a lot!!!) and purchased a fair amount of DG 30k stuff. Was a long serving member of papa nurgles followers for 40k but fell in love with FW and the HH.

Have a question for all your fellow Death Guard out there. What do you think is a good viable anti tank option? Laser destroyer vindicators? Leviathan dreads?

I have two 10 man missle launcher squads already to make use of our ROW but just wanted opinions on some decent anti tank stuff. Im trying to keep my army as fluffy as possible, boots on the ground etc. I love love love the leviathan dread models but worried about the relatively short range seeing as we are only plodding across the board.

Any help would be appreciated

Tons of options for AT. DG are favourable to vindicators, so those are a decent and economical and fluffy choice to put S 9-10 on the table. I've had good experiences with a lascannon HSS with a siege breaker attached. The rapier laser destroyer works best in multiples. The Land raider Achilles is a surprisingly decent and durable tank hunter. You'll probably get a Spartan eventually, they can put some hurt on armour. Metalbombs on Sgts is something I always bring. I almost always bring a legion artillery squad to my games, their high strength pie plates seldom disappoint. Shatter shells on quad mortars also are a decent option. Lots and lots of options.

I doubt you'd be disappointed by a leviathian, if you think it's cool go for it. I don't think I've heard a bad word uttered about it either.

I see everyone podding in their leviathans though. If it's on the board are you thinking of the storm cannon and grav flux? I think 18" is the longest ranged weapon on it?

Anywho, 30k is for sure rule of cool so if you dig it, go for it! 20 missiles is a lot. I think if you throw a siege breaker with 1 of the units you'll get good work out of them. I have run 5 before and it seems lackluster. 10 should do much better however.

I think some medusas or quad mortars with shatter shells will do well for your anti-tank. Laser destroyer vinidicators are also something I am intrigued by. Something that is a tad more durable would be a sicaran venator. Little heartier armor on that bad boy.
