Subject: Rimworld Alpha 15c - A sci-fi colony sim driven by an intelligent AI storyteller
I saw no thread for Rimworld yet and I'd thought it was worth making to see whether there was much interest in the Dakka community for it.
I'm currently just over 20 hours into the game and I've made it almost through my first year... Barely. I've linked the video for anyone who's not heard of it. Its just brought out the latest update in alpha, but the game is pretty solid already and I can't wait to see what Tynan has in store for future updates.
It's a shame I never saw this sooner, I'm having a lot of fun with it! Barely managed to survive a siege in the middle of a cold snap in winter, ended up with three of my colonists dying of hypothermia and barely managing to beat the siege. Still going strong though! (Kind of)
The reviews on Steam paint a pretty good picture of it.
The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

When I was choosing the game I was deciding between this and Halcyon6, which is more turn based. Glad I picked this though, seems much more in depth but I'd still like to try Halcyon.
