Okay, so I now have the Nomads starter set and I have to say that I am enjoying this game. Now, I am planning on entering an escalation league being held at my local club, and whilst we are starting at 120 points I do want to have my overall goals in mind, so here is my plan:
Starting out I will have this as my army:
Alguacile, Combirifle - 10
Alguacile, Combirifle - 10
Grenzer, Multisniper - 32
Spektr, Combirifle/Mines - 31
Mobile brigada, Combirifle/Flamer - 39
(plus one spare Alguacile) for a total of 122 points
I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying the game so far. As you get more and more games under your belt, you'll start to discover which units you like to use best, so I wouldn't set things in stone just yet. For example, I prefer light infantry and REMs in my vanilla Nomads, whereas another player might prefer to bring as many HI and TAGs as he/she can fit into a list. That's sort of the beauty of Infinity; there are no 'good' or 'bad' units, just troops with different styles of play. In fact, even picking miniatures exclusively based on looks can take you pretty far.
That being said, depending on your meta, you might be a little bit lacking in reactive firepower, so a Reaktion Zond wouldn't be out of place in your list. Also, the Alguacil Hacker is 18 points and .5SWC, not 12 points. Otherwise, just have fun with it. It's okay to proxy models that you don't have (as long as your opponent accepts), so there's no harm in giving everything a try.
Open in Infinity Army That's actually far away from a perfect list (if such things exist in Infinity ) but you'll have slightly more advantages here. You'll get the Smoke and MSV 2 combo for example.
First of all: all miniatures except the Wildcat and the Jaguar are easy to be proxed with your chosen miniatures (the Grenzer model for the Intruder and the Rev Healer for the Moira), assuming you'll buy the Nomads' support box to get the Clockmaker.
