Violent Space Marine Dedicated to Khorne

so I have finished building my second army and now just need to finish painting it. but looking to start my next army.
I currently have a nurgle themed chaos space marines with some deamons army
and just finished my khorne deamonkin army.
so im looking to branch of into something different. not a huge competitive player and enjoy fun looking armys that hopefully don't always lose lol. I have a couple armys in mind and looking on opinions on which one you think I should start.
Space marines (mass terminators or dreadnaughts) (would love to do grey knights but someone else already plays at my local store, trying to be different) (thinking space wolves or dark angels?)
necrons (always interested me and super easy to mass paint lol)
imperial guard (lots of tanks)
so what do you guys think? all comments welcome!

The Marine Standing Behind Marneus Calgar

I’d go guard.
It’s loyalist, so a nice foil for your chaotic side. The ordinary Joe standing against the otherworldly hordes and ancient heretics is also a nice contrast. Also it’s not a MEQ army. So should play significantly different on the table.
But as with all “what do I pick” questions, go with your heart. Especially when you are not going for a competitive list.
(If you do want a better chance to win, Necrons are probably the best option of the ones you listed)

I tend to recommend an army that contrasts with your first army in some way; Guard would be shooty, armour-focused, and low-quality/quantity-focused by comparison to a Khorne Daemonkin infantry/assault/mid-high quality force. It forces you to think about the game differently and I think you end up with a better understanding of the game as a whole and yourself as a player from doing it.

I was going to say Dark Angels but because I thought at first you meant CSM Nurgle and was going to say Tyranids. Then I realized you mean daemons so why not Dark Angels. How about Orks in Terminator armour? Someone made an Ork army using the Space Marine codex back in 6th edition (or was it 5th?) No matter you can have all your termies that way. Or maybe using the new Genestealer Cult codex and have them use SM armour and have your tanks that way? Or how about CSM? This way they can go with your Nurgle army as well. If not, Dark Angels are good. Even if you want to go original route you have 3 different colour schemes so never going to be painted the same. You will have All your Termies, then if you like you can have your all bike army as well as regular troops as well. I always said Dark Angles have Iron Wing as well so why can't they be all your tanks and what not there as well? And when you want you can always say your Dark Angles are "counts as" CSM if you don't go the CSM route. Now you can ally in your Nurgle army from time to time when you want to play huge big battles. Or have your Necrons ally with Genestealer Cult. Yes I know Come the Apocalypse allies but fluff wish they are Necrons who want to become flesh again and found a way to get new bodies with captured Nids and then became Genestealer Cults to get new bodies that way? So many possibilities, do all of them and then combine them. Unless you want to just start one army and continue with that instead of spreading it out. I say Dark Angels if you don't have any power armour in your Nurgle army.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

sorry for confusion. my CSM are mostly MEQ guys with a little deamon sprinkled in (soul grinder and GUO)
I'm starting to like necrons more. I do love the monolith model even if its not that good anymore. plus they are super easy to paint lol. spray paint gun metal and wash black! maybe highlight eyes lol.
imperial guard is tempting just because I wanna see 10+ tanks on the field lol.
I want to like tau because I've seen them painting like halo and it was awesome but since they are considered OP like elder I don't feel the love for them as much.

If you do decide to go Necron expect to see plenty of eyes rolling while you play. While they might not be talked about anymore, I am sure you will get them if you play them.
Since you already did Power Armour, Necrons sound good. Doing Dark Angels might not fit that "itch" of a new army, unless you just love Power Armour, Necrons sound good.
Also if you like Tau, DO IT. Who cares what people say on the internet. After all only TFG will abuse the Tau. If you play them because you like them, because you like the fluff, because you like the minis, go ahead and play them. Make them like Halo like you would like to do. Don't worry about what people think.
They are your minis. Your money. Your time. Your energy in making, modelling painting them. PLAY them because you want to, DO NOT PLAY an army because of what people on the internet think or tell you not to.

I appreciate it.
im thinking necrons more and more. the Decurion formation makes them really strong with still have enough stuff to mix it up. and I kinda need a somewhat power army.
I don't feel my painting is good enough to do the Tau paint job justice of what I envision lol. and once I finish my KDK painting im gonna be wiped for awhile. a base spray and wash sounds easy and nice to me lol.
