I am looking at giving KDK a try and thought I would start with a 1500 point list that utilizes some models I already have.
Let me know your thoughts and if there is any way I could improve this list.

It's a decent start with the models you have. You will certainly want to max out your dogs when you can. 4 min units is ideal in the gorepack. Berserkers are very poor. KDK is best with min units of bloodletter DS on objectives. Or cultists for a cheaper alternative. Possessed only belong if you plan to do a slaughter cult which is very common and pretty good way to run KDK.
Units that shine for me in KDK are Maulerfiends, Lords on Juggars, Bloodthirsters (D or regular), the gorepack, heldrakes.
I'd avoid the prince and go with a lord for your other HQ when you can. Hope that helps.

Unfortunately you can only have one relic on the prince. Personally I really like Goredrinker, but since the prince is already S6(7 on the charge) and Ap2 it's not necessary so keep the armour for increased durability.

Some slight tweaking. I feel a Prince would be better paired with a Bloodthirster than a Lord would be. At higher points i would like to add a second Slaughtercult for double Lord action.
