Hello dear people of Dakka Dakka!
After having played Warhammer Fantasy Battles / T9A for over 10 years, I have recently converted to
40K after I moved over to my girls home country of Sweden and met a very friendly local gaming group starting a narrative campaign.
I have decided to land and spend on the infamous Death Company, as they simply are a bunch of bad asses and I like both the models and the background to them.
With Christmass around the corner I wish to order my stuff soon and get going.
Now I know that I can play a fully "legal" Death Company Army using the Lost Brotherhood and Death Company Strike Force detachment / formation rules in Angel's Blade.
However, I have a couple of questions and looking for some (general) tips and tricks to get going and was hoping some of you might wanna help me out!
1) First of, a simple question: the "Final Flight" rule in Angel's Blade and the Restrictions part in the Death Company Strike Force say units of the Death company can take a Stormraven Gunship as dedicated transport. The "restrictions" part of that is confusing me a little: does this mean I can ONLY take Stormraven Gunships as dedicated transports or can I take Drop Pods / Rhinos / Razorbacks as normal? I have seen quite some people take them but the "restriction" part kind of counters this a little? This newby would love some clearification on that!
2) Other question is what should I definately include in my
DC Strike Force in terms of weaponry and/or what is a good, general, lay out for the units:
- Chaplain
-
DC Squad
-
DC Dreadnaught
3) Furthermore what are ideal unit set ups in terms of quantity / extra equipment / dedicated transports etc. ?
4) How can I deal best with enemy vehicles/flyers?
5)And last but not least: any more (general) tips for playing the Death Company?
Your input will be greatly appreciated!
- Cheers
