Hey dakka, once I get all of blood bowl painted and the such, then I will be onto planning out my daemons.

I have the codex that comes with all the stuff from Curse of the Wulfen, but honestly, it is pretty overwhelming. I want a list that is pretty competitive, but I don't want to bother with allies.

I am thinking:

Daemonic Incursion:

Flayer Troupe Core:

Four units of daemonette with instruments.

Two units of three fiends of Slannesh

Herald with Exalted Loci, Greater and Lesser Reward, ML2. (Biomancy or Malefic)

Auxiliary: Min unit of furries.

Four Daemon lord command choices:

Be'lakor

Two Daemon Princes of Slannesh with Flight and Armour, and a Greater reward.

Keeper of Secrets with ML 3, exalted reward (Either Biomancy or Malefic)

Any thoughts? I wanted a slannesh theme, and the KoS is only there because I really like the FW model. The general plan is Be'lakor does his thing and flies around ruining people's days, Daemon princes destroy anything small, or face the heavy hitters with Psychic buffs. KoS ruins what it can, it'll stay invisible because it isn't very tough. Daemonetters attack infantry and use Daemonic Corruption to score, same with the fiends. Sadly, I didn't have points for banners, but I think Cursed Earth should be able to alleviate the risk of scatter for the Daemonettes.

Maybe drop the Psychic on the KoS and get some biomancy on the DPs?

You are going to want to use the warpflame host as it just gives some of the best units in the game a lot of bonuses. - If you want a list with some teeth.

The real power of daemons comes from tzeentch. re-rolling saves of 1 is highly abusable in this army.

Yeah, I thought about Tzeentch, he is my second choice, but I really like Slannesh a lot more. And I don't want polygod.

Any comments on a semi-competetive Slannesh list?

Why not try the Cavalcade formation - six FA units with extra speed. Seekers of Slannesh are very cheap for what they offer.

Add a Herald with Jewel (Steed, Greather Etherblade etc) for character killing. Equip the KoS with the sword that restores a wound each turn the KoS killed someone, and send him against the opponents GEQ.

Yeah that formation seems really mean, I am just stuck on how to fill out the six unit options. I have the same issue with the Flayer Troupe, as I don't want six units of Daemonettes but the fiends just seem like a tax.

The seeks are insane, especially with up to 30" movement in a turn, and a minimum of 25" especially at just 12 points a model.

And the Exalted seeker chariot is just mean, 4d6 S4 Rending HoW, yes please!

Any thoughts on what I should drop, I like the idea of DPs because I have some cool conversions in mind, but none of the MCs have to stay.
