So do you guys think world eaters using stuff with long range is fluffy ( autocannons and sicaran battle tanks) or would they just run at stuff and smash it. I think they would of at least have a few battle tank and maybe a few long ranged support guys running around. Thanks for your feed back

All legions have access to all equipment. The fluff focuses on legions' idiosyncrasies, but they shouldn't be seen as limiting factors in your own collection. Absolutely no reason why you shouldn't have those guns

The World Eaters are actually known for furocious tank battles as well.

“Because we couldn’t be trusted. The Emperor needed a weapon that would never obey its own desires before those of the Imperium. He needed a weapon that would never bite the hand that feeds. The World Eaters were not that weapon. We’ve all drawn blades purely for the sake of shedding blood, and we’ve all felt the exultation of winning a war that never even needed to happen. We are not the tame, reliable pets that the Emperor wanted. The Wolves obey, when we would not. The Wolves can be trusted, when we never could. They have a discipline we lack, because their passions are not aflame with the Butcher’s Nails buzzing in the back of their skulls.
The Wolves will always come to heel when called. In that regard, it is a mystery why they name themselves wolves. They are tame, collared by the Emperor, obeying his every whim. But a wolf doesn’t behave that way. Only a dog does.
That is why we are the Eaters of Worlds, and the War Hounds no longer."

Just because alot of the legion was axe crazy and CC mad does not mean you might have another cooler headed elements too.

FudgeDumper - It could be that you are just so uncomfortable with the idea of your chapters primarch having his way with a docile tyranid spore cyst, that you must deny they have any feelings at all. |

I have a predator and a laser destroyer vindicator as fire support in my World Eaters army. Although most of my army is made up of chain axe wielding maniacs with a couple of dreads

I regularly run a Deredeo and Rapiers with my WE. The Deredeo is a nice platform since it doesn't count against your Berzerker Assault tank limit.

I think it's fine, and I think it's even justifiable in 40k. The idea that a WE dev/havoc squad isn't fluffy only makes sense if you imagine a fire support squad sitting back way out of harm's reach pot shotting into the distance and emerging from battle unscathed as if they were visiting the firing range
In reality an Astartes heavy weapon squad isn't standing still to shoot; they're most likely (and especially in the case of WE) pushing forwards immediately behind the front line (the berzerkers) firing as they advance. Shells will be exploding around them, streams of fire will be coming their way, the air will be thick with dust and smoke and the screams of the dying as they step over their corpses. Battle isn't going to be much less intense than it is for the guys with swords and pistols
Also in the wider picture of a campaign a Word Eaters' army isn't going to be taking ground here and there and holding it for a time before moving forwards again; they'll be constantly advancing into the thick of the fighting. It might not be represented on the table but a WE heavy weapon squad is still likely being used more aggressively and recklessly than, say, an Alpha Legion raptor squad.
