Hey guys!
I've got a tournament coming up in a few weeks, and would love some thoughts. At 1000 points it's pretty small - you play 4 games and it's over in one day. There are rules like "whole army must be from one codex", "no unbound lists", "no super heavies or
LoW", "no fortifications", "no forgeworld". Formations are okay.
I've had a hell of a lot of success with my Grey Knight shunters so they'll probably form the backbone of my army. Let me know what you think.
List 1 - Deathwatch
5 Interceptors w. incinerator
Nemesis Dreadknight w. Heavy Incinerator, Personal Teleporter & Nemesis Greatsword
5 Interceptors w. incinerator
Nemesis Dreadknight w. Heavy Psycannon & Personal Teleporter
5 Deathwatch w. 2 Frag Cannons
1 Corvus Blackstar transport w. Halo Launcher
NB: I'd probably hold my
GK back until the Corvus arrives, then shunt in for a delayed alpha-strike. Lots of scrimping on upgrades to save points. But at 1000 points, 2 mobile
DK and a flyer might be unanswerable to some lists.
List 2 - Assassins
5 Interceptors w. incinerator
Nemesis Dreadknight w. Heavy Incinerator, Personal Teleporter & Nemesis Greatsword
6 Interceptors w. incinerator, 1 falchions and 1 halberd
Nemesis Dreadknight w. Heavy Psycannon & Personal Teleporter
1 Vindicare Assassin
1 Callidus Assassin
NB: Callidus increases chance of going first and their reserves getting delayed, which is great for an alpha. Just not sure if the Vindicare can handle vehicles on his own...
List 3 - Land Raider
6 Interceptors w. 1 incinerator & 1 falchions
Nemesis Dreadknight w. Heavy Incinerator, Personal Teleporter & Nemesis Greatsword
7 Interceptors w. 1 incinerator & 1 falchions
Land Raider (for Deathwatch)
5 Deathwatch with 2 Frag Cannons, 1 combi-melta & 1 grav gun
NB: One less dreadknight than the other lists, but the
LR brings some long range anti-tank. Would most 1000 point armies have an answer for a Land Raider is the real question here...
List 4: Inquisition
5 Interceptors w. incinerator
Nemesis Dreadknight w. Heavy Incinerator, Heavy Psycannon, Personal Teleporter & Nemesis Greatsword
7 Interceptors w. incinerator

Ordo Xenos Inquisitor w. power armour and combi-plasma
3 acolytes w. 2 meltaguns in a chimera
3 acolytes w. 2 plasma/meltaguns (not sure which?) in a chimera
NB: has the most bodies on the board and gives me lots of points to kit out my
DKs and interceptors. But will the chimeras be able to get to where they need?
Also, I wanted to check that there's nothing illegal about taking the same formation twice? Thanks guys!
