What chapter would you want to be in? What company and squad type and what type of wargear would you take? Would you join the deathwatch?

Personally, I'd go BA assault marine w/ power maul and hand flamer.

I'd love to say Space Wolves but I hate having facial hair, I hate having long hair and at least half the sources say Wolves drink beer, mead is good but beer sucks.

I'd probably be part of a boring Ultrasmurf successor chapter.

I don't break the rules but I'll bend them as far as they'll go.

I'd be dead, but probably an Ultramarine that way I could never lose a battle.

Imperial Fists Devastator, with a combi-flamer and a sword just in case.
I'd probably equip my squad with AT weapons and leave the infantry suppression to my boltgun-wielding squadmates.

I'd build as much fortifications as i could in my spare time.

EXTRA heresy.

Probably Salamanders. I like salamanders. And I would have the chance to go back home time to time, if I remember the fluff correctly.

Generic characters disappearing? Elite units of your army losing options and customizations? No longer finding that motivation to convert?

Either Iron Hands because I want to work my way up to bring a Terminator (the robot dudes) Terminator (the rank in a space marine crater that gets to wear Terminator armor), White Scars so I can go fast, Salamanders so I don't have to slaughter civilians, or Blood Ravens so I can engage in sanctioned larceny. There are a lot of options.

Am I healthy or do I have comparable health and stats in 40k? So If I am frail and sickly does that mean I am also that in 40k kinda sorta? Or is it just a choice to be a marine in any chapter?

Blood Angels, Flesh Tearers or BT. I'd be fine with being a in a tactical squad but assault would be ideal. I'd load up on gear, becoming an angry points sink of questionable usefulness. Jump pack, power sword, bolt pistol, melta-bombs and a combi-grav.
The most important thing is I get a stylish mk.VI helmet.

Preferably a Devastator Sergeant of the Salamanders, armed with a Signum, Boltgun and probably a Power Axe or Power Sword, in case something got too close for comfort.

Also would like to wear Iron or Maximus pattern Power Armour, or at the very least the helmet of one of the above.

Sit as far back as possible and direct the firepower of my brothers upon the foe.

I am going to go with either a scout sergeant or a devastator sergeant. I enjoy teaching people so the scout sergeants mentor role would work well for me, but its also a role where I can stay out of direct combat and increase my chances of survival. However I cannot help but feel I would surely die in some selfless sacrifice to keep my squad of youngsters alive. The lovable mentor always dies. As a scout sergeant I would probably roll with a bolter or sniper rifle.

I would enjoy being a devastator sergeant because again I am somewhat out of the most heated of fighting and can focus on supporting my squad. I would prefer a good old bolter and any power weapon I could get my hand on, but would prefer a sword. A combi flamer would also be really nice.

As for my chapter I would probably be an Ultramarine due to my own ways of thinking lining up pretty well with theirs. Also they have a stable geneseed with (I believe) no flaws in it meaning all my space marine genetic goodies will work.

Oh and if I could be a centurion devastator sergeant that would be cool as well.
