The games seems to have a lot of potential but there doesn't isn't much fuss about it locally or on the net. What do you guys think about it ? Has anyone played it or read the rules? For it seems to be a perfect ruleset for some cool ork jetbike ork game based on what I have seen on youtube. [EDIT]To prevent any further well meant echo's about what models to use. I am not planning to use foot slogging models of any sort. What I am planning to use are ork equivalents of Jetbikes and skyboards ; ) this sort of stuff. ( note they are not my models)

Well I haven't gotten a chance to play it yet I opened my box and read the rules. They would be pretty easy to port over to other models the only problem I would see is that the templates you use for turning are made for the small flying base. It's probably close enough that it would work for storm boys. Turning a ork biker 45 degrees by his center would be difficult. I think deffkoptas use larger flying bases so it wouldn't fit, but might still be doable.
The rules would probably be pretty silly if you used any other models though. The idea of ork boyz running so fast that they can barely turn and can't stop to turn around, or to keep himself from running into a building is a little silly. Also ork boyz don't work there way up into becoming nobz like reavers and hellions work there way into becoming arena champions. Nobz are just born that way, but that's a pretty minor complaint.

Er.. Nobz aren't born that way, they are boyz that have managed to grow strong enough that the Boyz think of him as da boss and get bigger as a result. It's a combination of age + strength + belief of bosshood.

My deffkopta's look like jetbikes with jet engines etc and I do have a ton of storm boys but orks on a jet to be scratch build sky board might be more fun.

Just finished reading the rules. Obviously best as designed, but could substitute any bike/jetbike and jump troops.

Nice someone with the rules : D
what are the upgrade options. How does the gang making work. How big is your average team. etc.
Is it a game you an only play a few times or is it actually a good game to play regularly where you can build quite diverse gangs

I think it has promise.
A modicum of common sense would allow the same game mechanic to work on another world, with other teams. (Oh, wait....)
It looks like fun, with elements of tactics and strategy, some luck, and, in campaigns, a small random element I like the look of. In one scenario, scourges populate one of the tower tops, taking potshots at anyone who flies too close.
Teams are points based, with experience, weaponry and vehicle all having an effect. Wound/save mechanic is simpler, and damage counts. There's a balancing decision to be taken in you split up your warband, with benefits in a campaign.
More comments perhaps after I play it on Wednesday, but so far, it looks like fun, and maybe even sustainable.

There is a Gangs of Commorragh facebook group with some chat about expanding what is available.
First thing is a Scourge gang, and the playtest pack is now up for them.
Taking EldarMorka back to it's Ork roots is a huge temptation for someone with a big box full of Orks.
It will need boarding and infantry rules though, but writing these shouldn't be that hard.
Facebook group is here.

+1 for this. Orks are not Tyranids. They're Orks.

Gorkamorka has completely different game mechanics based on 2nd edition 40k.

I've just started looking at it, I see no reason why you couldn't use any jump pack or jetbike type models. Mechanic wise, it makes the most sense for those types of models, fluff wise (like the scourges on the roof tops) you could easily replace that with well just about anything. All it is is atmospheric fluff.
There is even rules for mixed units of jump packs and jet bikes.
Now the rules are somewhat specific as it has mechanics for clatrops and it mentions heat lances by name, but I'd think any other wargear upgrades could easily be count as, as long as the wargear item is unique on the model that has it.
