Given the benefits of putting the Tzaangor Enlightened on discs (increased move, fly, additional wound/attacks and the daemon keyword) for the same points cost as just keeping them on hoof can anyone think of a reason not to have them floating around the battlefield?

There is no reason not to in matched play, it is a strict handicap to have them on foot.

Road to Renown! It's like classic Path to Glory, but repaired, remastered, expanded! https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/778170.page

I chose an avatar I feel best represents the quality of my post history.

I try to view Warhammer as more of a toolbox with examples than fully complete games.

Other than using the disk for kitbashing on other models (Like, say Tzeentch sorcerers for 1kSons), not really.

2000 Khorne Bloodbound (Skullfiend Tribe- Aqshy)
1000 Tzeentch Arcanites (Pyrofane Cult - Hysh) in progress
2000 Slaves to Darkness (Ravagers)

the models becomes higher(if put on disk) and thus harder to hide, but other then that, I can't think of anything

Getting rid of the daemon keyword.
