Think special weapons won't be problem but how easy it would be to fit FW heavy weapons to the plastic HH marines?

The newer heavy weapon sets use the bolter arms to hold in a "hip shot" firing position rather than the "on the right shoulder" pose. The only issue you'll have is that some of the newer FW kits have the trigger hand attached to the weapon, while the older ones don't. Just like some of the newer 40k kits have the trigger hand attached to the weapon while the older ones don't. Everything else will line up fine.

Oh nice. So basically some specific pattern weapons rather than legion lascannon set etc?
Maybe get some MKII heavy weapon guys one day since I love MKII and doesn't seem to coming in plastic but maybe use the 30 MKIII from prospero set into 10 veteran tactical and 2 heavy weapon squads. Though will need to wait for next FW order that's 250£+. Still good to know that I don't use the plastic sprues(except for the tacticals that just need left shoulder pad. That can wait for later)

I recently fitted 5x Mars Pattern Plasma Cannons to the MkIII plastic marines.
It is doable, but I am certainly not lookingn forward to the other 5 that need to be done.

Ouch.
I had no idea they would be that difficult. Was it just lining up the cables or was the issue fitting the guns in the hands?
I have the resin MKIII minis from Forge World and had one hell of a time putting together my resin Auto Cannons from FW. Putting the guns on the MKIII hands went fine. The hard part was lining up the ammunition bit that attaches to the gun and the backpack.

The cabling that attached the plasma cannons to the backpacks is a thin wiry piece of resin which bends any which way you need it to when submersed in very hot water, that was a very fun and interesting challenge.
The issue I took umbrage with was that the 'trigger hand' does not always quite line up with the wrist on the plastic marine. This causes odd positioning of the cannon, sometimes at unusually held angles, or the hand just not physically fittng at the wrist, requiring fair amounts of green stuff filling. Some of the wrists are flat joins, others are angled. This caused me the most headache.
I appreciate that I could have quoted Kronk to put this reply in context but I am posting from an iphone and the formatting is giving me a migraine.

I imagine that they all go on a bit easier with the Calth MkIV marines, as Forge World modelled all of those new heavy weapon kits on those minis. But those are notnwhat I had soare at the time so I have had to make do.

When I've assembled plastic Marines with those heavy weapons, I've glued the gun, right arm and shoulder pad as one sub-assembly, and the rest of the marine including the left arm as another. I've put a pin at the right shoulder and left wrist, and on occasion had to apply some slight force and hold the model when gluing. That was with the all-resin Kakophoni, though; the plastic marines have better tolerances, so the fit is usually better (apart from when I've cocked up the assembly).

I have glued Proteus II Misile Launchers to my BaC marines, it wasn't dificult. I imagine they would fit just as well on the BoP marines.

They fit on any marine kit really. I use the Phiastos heavy flamer on my Sternguard.

The relative position of the right and left hands on a Space Marine 2-handed gun has been consistent since the current style of Marines were released in 3rd edition in 1999. Those new Forge World weapons should fit on mk3, mk4, mk6, mk7 or mk8 plastic Marines.
