Announcement trailer.

It looks like they weren't ready, as Target accidentally posted preorders early. They're down now(9:56AM EST) but probably will be up soon-ish again.

Surprised it took this long for them to release a sequel, the first game was pretty awesome and I'd love to play another one!

Hopefully they keep the mechanic where enemies remember you and evolve to counter your attacks. I had an uruk boss who was impervious to all my attacks meaning I had to round up a small army of monsters to do the job for me.

That is just glorious! Loved the first game, those visuals are beautiful and even if it's just more of the same then I'm all in for this one.

If it can fix the one big flaw of the first game (as you get to the mid-to-late game, you don't get killed as much so the brilliant nemesis system doesn't come up so often) then even better, but if not, then still, this should be fantastic.

I'm surprised no other games tried to copy the Nemesis system after SoM. It was a wonderfully unique way of really making the game personal, I'm sure everyone who's played it for any length of time can remember that one Orc that just wouldn't bloody die!

You have to remember that the turnaround for a quality game isn't short. SoM wasn't that long ago.

Also worth mentioning that, to an extent, Ghost Recon: Wildlands has something not unlike the Nemesis system going on.

I for one am glad they're taking their time. Though the name of this sequel is dumb.

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

They expanded it so that not only are their Nemesis Orcs, but Nemesis Fortresses it seems that can produce unique orcs as well.

Looking forward to the soundtrack a fair bit too . Loved the music in that game.

New alpha gameplay footage shows a conquest of a stronghold, as well as considerable new depth to the Nemesis system:
