Hey. In the description it states as follows:

A Butcher is a single model armed with
a Butcher’s Cleaver or Tenderiser. Some
Butchers instead fight with a pair of Stump
Blades, hacking apart their foes whilst
dragging a great cauldron into battle into
which they collect the severed body parts
of their victims.

Does that mean that in order to gain the Cauldron rule he/she has to wield a pair of stump Blades?

A friend of mine and I had this discussion today over a game where i stomped her Skaven to paste.

Yes.
Part of taking the cauldron involves having the stump blades as it's an alternate weapon layout for them.

So you can't take the cauldron with anything else.
