So after a 3rd reread, I can safely say Angel of Bucephalon is my favourite chapter. And it's still one of the most "what the feth did I just read". So, any theories on who the angel was, and what Larkin's episodes really are?
There's been several miracles throughout the Gaunts Ghosts novels.
They're fighting a crusade across land holy to the local saint.
And this is 40k.
I view miracles as being equivalent to chaos warp-trickery but instead of evil causing it, it's good.
So really whether it's a miracle or heresy depends entirely on which side of the fence you're sitting on.
