With GW already showing us new Primaris models for their own Dreadnought and now grav tank, but these not being included in the index, I now have the definite impression Primaris marines (if not just marines) will get the first codex release for 8th. Considering GW don't really show models until a release is pending and the Primaris Dread and the Grav tank already been seen I'd have guessed that we can expect a Primaris codex in July and between now and then even more new units to round any pure Primaris army.

I'd be interested in anybodies thought...

This seems incredibly likely. I expect it to be the first 8th edition codex to be released. I'm interested in seeing whether it will be a full Space marine codex or just a Primaris codex.

I am sure GW will continue to release models and their rules simultaneously, so yes. Primaris and Death Guard will be the first two out of the gate.

I am also quite certain we will see a very rapid Codex release schedule, akin to early 3rd edition (at least 1 a month) to bridge the inevitable power gap between Codex armies and Index armies ASAP.

If one or the other doesn't have a codex before the end of june i'll be shocked.

Space Marines are first in everything - so them getting the first codex, and having it centered around the new Primaris models, makes perfect sense.

As someone who plays AoS.. I really doubt it's going to be one a month
