Version 2.01 went up today, with support for 40k 8th edition.

I still remember the burn of my payed upgrade for Battlescribe being invalidated within a few months of purchasing, because for whatever reason.

If we bought the first battlescribe, is the upgrade free? I haven't used it in a few years so I'm a bit out of date (and bought it on Amazon before their spat with google play broke the app's update function).

Either way, it's 3 dollars. Which is less than a single cup of coffee (and I doubt people reuse that single cup of coffee more than they do an army builder)

I've drunk 100's more cups of coffee than games played over the past two years..everyone's situation is different. In my case, the reasonable cost for the utility was why I paid for it in the first place when I was playing but I simply don't play anymore much of anything (but am hoping that will change). Rebuying something I already own (especially when I don't use my credit card online at stores after some bad experiences and would have to buy a $20 google play card instead for a $3 app) isn't particularly wise.

Holy cow, it runs so much smoother on my old iPad than the previous version did. It's actually useable now.

My biggest problem with battlescribe was the horrific and clunky output, filled with poorly formatted extraneous info. Acceptable for free software, but not quite if they want to compete in a marketplace, even for $3.

Who ever made the data files doesn't like certain units and seems to have intentionally left them out. No Guilliman, for example.

They reworked the various ways you can adjust that now. It works pretty slick.

He's under Lord of War, same as dudes like Magnus. I'm already working on figuring out what kind of force I can cobble together from the DI Primaris and Gulliman as a fluffy support detachment for my other marines.

Will Battlescribe be able to allow keywords list building yet?

IE, in a Supreme Command Detachment, could I have a demon one with 3x Tzeentch Herald and then add the TS Magnus into that LOW slot?

It's nice and quick now, it was so slow before. I might just pay to get rid of the ads now.

This. When it asks for the Parent Force, choose the existing Detachment, NOT the army file.
