So I want to design an army with lots of razorwing flocks centered around yvraine. I want to do this somewhat cheaply and thematically, it'd be cool if they looked like spirits. I was thinking it would be displayed on a breaking infinity circuit with a large nexus of spirit energy like the yncarne. My problem is Making this spirit energy. I want to use the sylvaneth dryads, probably cut into pieces to maximize razorwing flocks and I can design the pieces around some sort of floating spirit stones and ruins to add bulk and flair to the flocks. However for my modeling I want to add spirit energy around my flocks for more bulk and to look ghostly and wraithy while parts of these dryad ghosts are materializing and im wondering what they best and cheapest way to do this is. Think the energy like that of the Yncarne swirling around, or the spirit hosts from the age of sigmar range or those cool huge mortis engines.

Any suggestions would be great. Maybe I could set up some wires in swirling patterns and fill it with plaster? Then pull edges out and holes in to look like the yncarne's energy? This will be a difficult project but I want to try to get the model's first before the display board.

I believe there are some vampire counts models with a lot of flying spirits that might be useful for what you're describing.

In particular the Mortis Engine/Coven Throne

Yes but at the amount I need and for a display, I don't want to buy like 15 Mortis Engines. What's a way to duplicate that effect cheaply?

pushmould and greenstuff maybe.

If I was going to try and sculpt something similar, I'd use a fairly thick wire as a base (garden stores tend to have options), making the basic shape, then wrap greenstuff around it, and use silicone shaping tools to sculpt that into shape.

Might also be worth looking at eBay and bits sites for Mortis Engine spares - all the banshee stuff isn't used when build the Coven Throne option, so some must be going spare.
