How are you guys loading your chaos termies? I'm about to build some and want some advice. Or should I just magnetize them?

I'm partial to combi-meltas and powerfists. Buts that's because I think powerfists look cool on terminators and my armies usually need some padding out in the anti-tank section. Deepstrike in, shoot a tank and charge (with icon of wrath) seems like a pretty good way to kill 1-2 tanks, especially with a supporting sorcerer for warptime.

I'm pretty sure combi-plasmas are the better option for a jack of all trades squad, though.

Edit: My experiences are 100% non-competitive games, so pinch of salt and all that.

If you want them to last through editions and don't mind the work then magnetize. Termies are hard though because you don't have enough shoulder pads.

I run mine either with all LCs for fluff or all combi-plas and axes for competitive. With the slaanesh strategem you can shoot them all twice so the plas is great.

With combi-plas, in 8th Edition, and the Slaanesh Strategem, a unit of 10 (yes, very expensive), should statistically kill any screen unit in the game, and any heavy armored target behind it, with full buffs.

Its over-kill, but in an edition where many players throw in a 400-500pt "hammer" unit, they are definitely up to the task.

Plus, in matched-play, with spells being one-per-turn, strategems being one use per phase, etc... you get the most value out of those things by spending them on the largest unit you can. Those combi-Plas Terminators with Prescience, and both the Veterans of the Long War and Slaaneshi 2x-shooting strat, will remove their points worth, almost assuredly.

Is combi-plasma a kit bash? Every pic I see appears to have just glued the plasma along side the bolter.

If you are going to magnetize them, buy some extra terminator shoulder pads. You will run out otherwise, and it's really, really hard to magnetize the shoulder pads themselves. They weight down the arms just enough that they won't stay in place.

In terms of what to bring, combi-plasma is dead killy. It's almost too much unless you know there's a high value target you are going after. I personally like combi-flamers right now as it makes them harder to charge.

You can magnetize the arms, but then glue the shoulder pads directly to only the torso. This lets you swap out arms without needing more pads, and also provides a 'lock' for the arm to keep it from flipping around by inserting it under the shoulder pad.

This conversion was actually for an obliterator, but I guess the fist could be used in part for a 'counts as' on a combi plasma / powerfist terminator.

It's a couple of cut down plasma pistols stuck on to a lighting claw, with a possessed thumb.

Nottingham (yay!)

I snip off a Combi-Bolter barrel and cut a plasma pistol to fit. For deep insertion, plasma seems lit but it's high maintenance and as -1 to be hit effects start to propagate it could see some serious deterioration in effectiveness. Right now if you can't rely on Warptime (which you can't, without Magnus or Ahriman) or need it for some other unit and don't budget a CP for re-rolling a poor Melta wounds roll, then overcharged Plasma has parity with Melta against hard targets and is far, far better against the rapidly propagating 2W targets.

Heavy Flamer is an interesting addition if you're relying on Warptime. But if you can rely on Warptime you can rely on Prescience and then more Plasma is probably better!

...I'm wondering if there's a place for combi-bolters and a RAC. It's not as fierce as an AC, but it's not a terrible objective camping unit for locations that are likely to be exposed to a lot of low calibre firepower. Probably inferior in this role to Scarab Occult (or even Obliterators), though.
