As the title suggests I'm looking for help to get my Dark Angels first company of deathwing to look like World of Warcraft's Deathwing. At least make it themed like WoWs Deathwing.

Any suggestions?

Thanks for reading!

You should get a lot of recommendations. It’s difficult. I would find some that you like on here and ask directly how they were painted

Buy a dragon model maybe? Not trying to be unhelpful but isn't death wing basically a dragon?

What skill level are you at? I'm not trying to be rude or anything, trying to give suggestions:

If you're up to green-stuff-ing, have a look at the armour sets from WoW from the Dragon Soul raid (the plate armour particularly springs to mind) - they've got Deathwing-themed elements which you could add to the terminators by sculpted GS.

If you're looking at something easier - armour plates from the tryanid sprues or maybe lizardmen sprues could be good?

For the painting aspect, look up tips on how to paint lava/magma bases or any tutorial involving LotR Balrog or 40k's Avatar of Khaine.

As for if you wanna do conversions, check out some conversions for Salamander marines as well as potential 3rd party Salamander shoulder pads/conversion kits. They should come with some scaly armor bits that would be a good basis for further conversions.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

When I'm editing alot, you know I have a gakload of homework to (not) do.

Thanks all this is all helpful. My skill level is more likely medium I do a decent job if I'm taking my time, but I may have trouble getting this done. I'll look at some of those magma tutorials and give it a shot and post it here later to see if anyone thinks it needs improvement.

Thanks again guys.

Looks like an interesting project. I'll be honest though, the title dragged me in looking for good advice on painting the actual Dark Angels Deathwing Bone-white terminator armor...
