I've posted a few lists but after reflecting I think this closely approximates what I will be taking. Please note this will be ITC so keeping in mind secondary objectives (such as reaper, headhunter etc.)

1) Is the chaos sorcerer worth it?
- For the price I could add x10 bloodletters and bring the plaguebearers up to maybe 19 models - Mathhammering out prescience doesn't look to favorable, it typically adds 2-3 more hits, which translates to maybe one wound after save - deathhex is super unreliable (LoC will easily deny, magnus will easily deny, etc.). Smite is ok but I could take a much cheaper model for smite.
- Alternatively swapping Sorcerer out for a warpsmith saves significant points?

2) Poxwalkers -
- Should I take the poxwalkers? The idea is to put them behind the PBC / Plaguebearers and add maybe one additional turn of tarpit. Also if the Plaguebearers get wiped in a brutal slaughter t1 - if i can stay out of consolidate range my counterfire from PBC will allow the unit to bloat up.

3) Army Composition - CP
- There is the possibility here of running another battalion on cultists if I drop x10 bloodletters and the poxwalkers - this adds a number of troops but really weakens the deepstrike and I lose the ability to use poxwalkers - cultists likely worse at clearing chaffe

4) Psychic abilities -
Looking at the list - the idea is to buff the PBC with the poxbringer and reroll with the Nurgle DP moving slowly onto the map while disrupting with obliterators screened by Bloodthirsters - but are the psychic abilities optimal? Fleshy abundance is for consideration
based upon the nurgle prince and PBCs which degrade. Maybe the chaos sorcerer could be more useful? Blades of putrefication ideal - or should i be taking plaguewind out of consideration for helping damage / clear swarms (genestealer cults etc.)

5) Warlord Trait -
Archcontaminator looks sexy but PBC are already rerolling 1's to wound for spewers and mortar - granted it helps the Daemon Prince as well but potentially a better option is available?

Other comments welcome of course!

I dont see any reason why you'd bring the plaguebearers and not just brimstones. They are about as durable still, but cost less for a tax tarpit squad. While plaguebearers are additionally vulnerable to multi wound weapons. On top of that brimstones in cover are just flat out tougher than plaguebearers (think concripts pre points nerf).

On the poxbringer use shrivel poxs. Lets the daemon prince wound magnus and company on 2s, and could buff some of your other uits up as well.

Blood letters should be over 20. most likely a few will die to auspecs scan of overwatch, and thus nerf the unit.

The daemon prince of nurgle could take the +1 dr. Along with the plate makes him very tough. I personally don’t like arch contaminator unless I have a lot of plague weapons like Blight Launchers etc... I like fleshy abundance on my Herald. He keeps topping up the daemon prince and the crawlers.

So is it worth considering to drop the sorcerer and taking more bloodletters and maybe another poxbringer to take fleshy abundance?

The +1 DR on the prince looks better too using fleshy abundance.

mmize can you explain a bit more on brims?
the way I see it:
Plagues T4 5++ with 5+++ 7 points
Brims T3 6++ @ 3 points.

Plagues also will be 4+ S5 (probably doens't count for much) but brims are literally at S1 and hitting on 5+.

Points for point the plagues seem on par and maybe a little ahead with the DR - how does cover play in? You mean this would put brims at 5+ on par with the plaguebearers 5++?

I'd remove the Poxwalkers for more bloodletters.

Blood Angels, Custodes, Tzeentch, Alpha Legion, Astra Militarum, Deathwatch, Thousand Sons, Imperial Knights, Tau, Genestealer Cult.

I have a problem.

Being contrary for the sake of being contrary doesn't make you unique, it makes you annoying.

Morphing Obliterator

I really like the Tzeentch Daemon Prince with Daemonspark to run alongside Tzeentchian Obliterators, giving them re-rolls of 1s on hits and wounds. Additionally, he can cast Flickering Flames on a squad to give them +1 to wound and they can pop Veterans for another +1 to wound, min strength 7 is wounding anything in the game on a 3+.

You don't get the double shot from Slaanesh, but the re-rolls on hits and wounds of 1 I think provides a bit more consistency over the long term and makes your CP last a bit longer.
