So it bothers me that Primaris lack anti-tank weaponry so I came up with a couple weapon options for some of the units, namely Aggressors and Inceptors.

Aggressors get the Ruinstorm Gauntlets. These are Power Fist-mounted Meltaguns that replace Boltstorm Gauntlets and Fragstorm Grenade Launchers. They are Assault 2, 12", Str 8, AP -4, d6 damage weapons that have the same special rule as the Meltagun. They cost 23 pts.

Inceptors get the Melta Eliminator. These are Assault Multi-Meltas that have shorter range, but the same firepower. They are Assault 1, 18", Str 8, AP -4, d6 damage weapons. They cost 20 pts each.

You could give them all the melta options you want, no-one would take them so long as consequence free plasma overheat exists.

You're probably not wrong. But the higher damage output might help make it palatable. The shorter range also hurts too. Maybe variations of the Lascannon? Like a way to replace the grenade launchers on the Aggressors with shoulder mounted Lascannons and maybe keep the Boltstorm Gauntlets.

Why Aye Ya Canny Dakkanaughts!

I'm with BaconCat, melta is kind of meh compared to Plasma right now: melta only beats out plasma in incredibly short ranges and even then only against vehicles and monsters, plasma is better at 7"+ and against units of multiple models.

Maybe, as you said, give a new option to the aggressors? Still don't know if people would go for it though since you could get more lascannons just going the devastator root (I'm actually kind of stuck as to why anyone uses primaris since they look a bit odd and are more expensive than regular marines without bringing much more to the table).
