Given Forge World simply cannot be bothered to even double-check their own work much less actually proofread anything, is there any interest in putting together a corrected version of the rules? Or has this been done already?

There's been some effort towards this on Yaktribe in this thread: https://yaktribe.games/community/threads/necromunda-2017-faq.6261/
Some rules we just have no idea on and coming to a consensus may be difficult (e.g. Toxin).
We do also have some confirmation of errors from other languages. E.g. in the German version, the stub gun (and dum dums) still has the pistol trait.
I don't know if anyone's done a full re-write though.

I've done a full re-write and compiling all the rules, including some effort to fix a few errors. But I constantly have to make decisions (which I don't like) between which weapon stats and prices to use.
Haven't solved balancing issues like Toxin though.
I recommend contributing to the Arbitrator's Handbook project over at yaktribe to make a set of house rules to cover the mistakes.

Yea, the weapon stats and prices are one of the biggest issues. Unfortunately we can't rely on Forge World to fix it. They just don't seem to be detail oriented over there, at least regarding rules. More interested in the beer and pretzels is my guess.

And waiting 'til GW3 until we get the prices for the things in GW2 seems really... sloppy? No. That's not it.
Let's just go with: Poor form.

Given the nature of the game, being halfway to an RPG and intended for closed play groups, I think it's more likely that each group will end up having its own build rather than reaching some worldwide consensus.
