Hello,

I've long dreamed of having some skeleton soldier miniatures that I've never been able to find or reliably convert without a whole ton of work to be done. I thought I'd post to see if anyone had some feasible ideas.

Something like what I'm referring to: https://www.google.com/search?q=slayer+skeleton+soldier&rlz=1C1CHBF_enUS739US740&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiCzqOl6tjaAhXqV98KHR2FD1gQ_AUIDCgD&biw=1552&bih=908#imgrc=qQcp-4hkawBimM:

I'd likely run them as Imperial Guard and the idea is pretty simple: They are soldiers, but they don't have flesh or muscles... it's just a skeleton wearing soldier attire and carrying a rifle. Plenty exist for fantasy armies with knights and footsoldiers, but modern/futuristic soldiers never seem to be skeletal.

Short of splicing Guardsmen with Skeleton Warriors (fantasy), does anyone have any ideas for how to make this possible? Even with a bone-colored paint scheme, I fear Necron are too robotic to work.

Maybe I'm thinking incorrectly, but wouldn't a body of a Cadian + appropiate skeleton head ( example: https://puppetswar.eu/product.php?id_product=529) suffice as long as it's fully clothed? If their hands are painted like gloves, it shouldn't be possible to tell they aren't fleshy beneath.

I think TheDraconicLord's approach would be best. Even better if you can track down helmeted Skelly heads.
