Subject: Roll 2 and discard X and CP Reroll

So I was thinking with a meltagun and such other rules with "Roll 2 dice discard the highest/lowest".
So if I am in melta range for instance and I roll a 1 and a 3, could I reroll the 1 for a chance to guarantee 3D possibly more, or do I need to immediately discard the 1 and try to CP reroll the 3?

You can re-roll the 1. You can use the Re-roll stratagem on any single die (yes it's die screw you GW). It doesn't matter if it's part of a multi-dice roll, you can use the stratagem to re-roll one die out of the pair.

Yup. Language changes over time. Die was originally the singular everywhere. Oddly, for a group so dedicated to maintaining "the Queen's English", our fellow English speakers off the coast of Europe have decided to use the plural 'dice' in place of the singular 'die'. From an American perspective, it's extremely jarring and sounds very much like an uneducated person who simply doesn't know how to properly speak. I shudder every time I read 'dice' to mean singular in a GW publication.
To stay on topic, 1 CP = re-roll 1 die, even if that die is part of a multi-die grouping.
