Hi!

I have couple of deathwatch marines laying around, and I thought it would be a great idea to have an inquisitor lead them. More specifically it would be amazing if it would be someone as crazy as Kryptman Any ideas how to convert one? Does he have any specific wargear in his disposal what I should give him? All ideas are welcome

The only official art I've found is an old Blanche piece where he's got power armour, glasses, and a bolt pistol; I don't think there's any official stance on what Kryptman's equipment is.

With a Deathwatch army older general Space Marine models may be a usable base for the conversion since they're smaller than the Deathwatch kit and quite a lot smaller than Primaris models, but I also like the Scion officer (the one with the greatcoat) as a starting point for Inquisitors. Find a bare head somewhere with crazy glasses and get an ornate bolt pistol out of the Vanguard Veteran kit and you're most of the way there.

Could have sworn that there was another illustration of him in one of 'Nid codexes.

I'd suggest this GSC neophyte head:

If your greenstuff skills are up to it, you could sculpt that little book and headband over the top of the genestealer brow ridge. Alternatively, just scrape the ridge off with a knife.

Beyond that, any power armoured body would probably do, though I'd suggest one of the robed bodies from the DA company veterans kit:

Perhaps Ivanus Enkomi's backpack from Forgeworld:

A bolt pistol with an added stock (from a lasgun?).

Although there isn't one in the artwork, I feel like he ought to have a cane topped with the Inquisitorial sigil (or the little DW sigil from the DW upgrade sprue as a mark of respect from his allies?). This could be counted as a power maul or force rod in the game.

A little bit of righteous anger now and then is good, actually. Don't trust a person who never gets angry.

You may be thinking of the Dave Gallagher art of =][= Grundvald, which does include a quote from Kryptman IIRC.

He was also reputedly quite "mad" - after having "touched" the hive-mind and not been consumed by it (other psykers had tried to and had their cortex fried).

Not that any inquisitor can be considered to be "sane" at the best of times, some are just slightly less nuts than the rest.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.
