Hey guys, got a few Primaris (from conquest), thinking of doing a separate chapter to my Dark Angel Successors.

Not really sure what chapter to do though.
I ideally want to use Macragge Blue as I got one from the mag and have no armies blue prior.
But I don’t want to just do Ultramarines (but a successor would be an option)

What shade of blue are crimson fists, could I get away with Macragge on them, or are they a bit more royal blue?

Any other suggestions?
An Ultima founding chapter would be an option too.

Cheers!

Crimson Fists are darker blue than Ultramarines, a bit more royal as you say. According to GW tutorials, Crimson Fists start with Kantor Blue. Of course, if you want you Crimson Fists to be little lighter in color, nothing's stopping you!

As for blue chapters other than Ultramarines, maybe this will give some inspiration: https://www.deviantart.com/djnnayt/art/All-Loyalists-Space-Marine-Chapters-425805126 There seem to be a lot of chapters that have the exact same color scheme as Ultramarines, with just different icon. But if that's a little boring, how about Novamarines or Eagle Warriors (though they are half-white, which can be tricky to paint..)? Or the really old school Rainbow Warriors?

You could mix a custom blue using some of the Conquest paints. Especially if you want a darker blue why not mix up some of the black with the Macragge Blue? You can make a pot of your own shade.

I think blue with grey accents works nicely.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!
