Howdy, thanks for clicking on this link, this painting log's main goal is to keep myself productive and churning out models instead of procrastinating, and also allow me to practice taking photos, for some reason my models always look way too shiny in pictures so I'm still experimenting with that.
I started a Nurgle army at the beginning of 8th edition and progress has been going extremely slowly, because I've been learning and testing out new color combinations and painting techniques with each new model I paint. It has been a great experience actually and I've definitely learned how to work with lighter colors with this army. At this point I think I've finally figure out a good system for painting this army.
Gonna start with some models I finished recently
Here's my Warlord - Daemon Prince Tidepox
Following up with a small Plague Marine squad models that I painted: The Cholerox Squad
And finally my latest work: A Bloatdrone! I used the airbrush for the white carapace but I think my shading color was a bit off, turned out a bit too dark compared to the rest of the army
Hope y'all enjoyed this opening. If you guys have suggestions on improving my picture quality or painting feel free to post them. More pictures to come.
Have a good one

For a second there, I thought your DP's name was tidepod and was very impressed at the meta joke
In all seriousness though, these are excellent pieces of work, the weeping from the armour panels are excellent additions to the models.

You're more right than you think my dude. I mean, I have to be a least a bit subtle don't I?

Thank you thank you, the conversion idea came from a picture from the codex and I took it one step further

The armor is base coat Zandri Dust -> Layer the entire thing with Screaming Skull -> wash with Sepia whatever -> Dry brush with Screaming Skull -> Edge highlight and chipping with Pallid Wych Flesh
The Weeping effects are done with Typhus Corrosion then Blood for the Blood God layered on top

Really nice stuff throughout On the Prince, what's the base color on his gem eyes? I might be doing something similar for some cultist gas masks but can't figure out the base layer.

Amazing stuff. I like the color scheme, and the lines of corrosion on the bloat drone are perfect.

Hey hey people, back with a quick WIP shot of more Death Guard. I don't like taking pictures of WIP because I don't like presenting unfinished product but that's kind of the whole point of this forum section. So here goes
I got a pair of Foul Blightspawns
First up is the younger brother Windax, who whiffed his flamer, charged into a dreadnought and got blasted by an overwatching lascannon
Now for his older brother Bleech, who promptly walked up and one-shotted the dread the following turn.

The base color is Dark Reaper

Hey hey people, back with a finished product this time.
Here's my Typhus, I'm using a white background this time, can't decide between which background looks better at the moment. I didn't put the smoke effect on him because I felt that it looked too cartoonish. But honestly the new Typhus pose is a bit silly and out-of-character in general, I definitely think the 30k Typhus is the best version of him. An absolute beast of a model when he first came out, really enjoyed painting and using him in games, shame that his abysmal mobility began to weigh him down as the game evolved and left him behind (OH HO HO HO)
Let me know which background color you guys prefer, until next time

Your minis and your photos are already well beyond my ability to critique. Seriously top work.
Black background, FWIW. Makes your dudes 'pop' more.

Great death guard here - a nice execution of the classic scheme. Looking forward to seeing the army

Impressive paint skills! I really like the pale colours you have gone for.
Black background is best btw, pretty sure they would look good with any background though

Hey hey people, thank you for all the kind words. I'm back with a non death guard update, I decided to have some fun with conversions and ended up with the following abomination
I call this guy my "Generic Edgy Magical Humanoid", he can be a rogue psyker, an Eversor Assassin, a Culexus Assassin and anything in between. If I need a humanoid with magical powers, he's my go-to model. He's actually one of my favorite minis that I painted, probably because he's more anime than grimdark.
The Blightspawn brothers are being worked on I swear, I was sidetracked with painting things that I play more often. Expect a large update next time with all the pretties that I've been slowly working on!

Hey, do you wet blend for those blue colored horns?, or do you just sort of simply apply different shades of blue next to each other sort of a thing?
Thanks man, you're very ( absolute professional ) good.
