Tried nmm for the first time. Still a bit unsure. Miniature was for a friend...he said he doesn't like the green in the shield.. :-(

Some feedback would be sweet.

Good stuff. You've got the concept down, and done very well for a first attempt.

Have to agree with your friend on the shield, though. The green sort of jumps out of nowhere. Black or red would have paired better with the yellow.

Thank you very much. Do you have any ideas what I could have made with the axehead? I dont like it how it is but I have no idea what I could have changed.

And yes, the green pops a bit out but he wants blue and yellow...which wouldnt fit either I think. (I tried to make it mostly historical and there are plenty of shields with strange colors so Iwent with yellow green because I wanted to try my new green haha..)

Hard to see anything of the axe as it's always out of focus and wrongly angled. Could you try a better photo?

If he's set on blue and yellow for the shield, I'd suggest de-saturating the yellow with a beige tone like Screaming Skull (citadel range) so that the shield looks less 'in your face'.

The painting on the shield itself looks great, however. It's a cool colour, with plenty of shading and highlighting.
In future, if you wanted that green and yellow combo, I'd probably ditch the red on the rest of the model. Too many colours always looks off.

Thanks alot. My colours are a bit limited because I restarted the painting. I will try to get more colours in the future.

For the axe I offer your this picture.
I still wonder why they turn my picture around???!!!

I think the shield might be ok with a few passes over with a shade, maybe something like agrax earthshade, just to bring the brightness down and make it 'dirtier'. I think the colour pairing is fine, it's just very bright, which makes the contrast even more stark. I like the colour variation in the axe.
