Why are they always out of stock?! They're a huge part of the new Beasts of Chaos tome. Are they making a start collecting box or something but hasn't released yet? Shaggoths get lonely sometimes.

They were unavailable at the Battletome release, a few weeks after they were made available and immediately sold out. Gotta be fast! And again, sign up for the e-mail notification.

Chimera's just became available, per a notification this morning, and they stay "out of stock" like the Dragon Ogors. So hopefully another production run of DO's are coming soon as well.

Also for Shaggoths, trawl the Internets. There's some great concepts out there for kitbashing!

These are ones I've found on Twitter and am planning on replicating at some point:


The first one uses Astreia Solbright, the 'easy to build' Stormcast hero that came out and an Ogroid Thaumaturge. The other two are Magmadroth bodies with Shaggoth and Gargant bits, respectively.

Those are some awesome conversions, shows just how much great plastic stuff has been released by GW in recent years.

I love the classic Shaggoth, but if I wanted more of them, I would definitely consider something like those conversions.

That one with the thaumaturge is really neat! it looks just right but you can also see quite clearly how they accomplished it.

Whoa, just saw those pictures! The Ogroid Thaumturge is super awesome in his original form too. I think that will suffice nicely for a Shaggoth #2 with a special relic since it's a conversion anyways (I have the old metal one and love that guy).
