Anyway it's been about a month since I started down this path and I am working on making a spacewolves army to play against my group. Thing is there's no models for the wolf priest. But there's a few in the codex. I wanna make a jetpack wolf priest. I think it would fit what I am wanting for my army.
Can I use the Primaris Inceptors as my base for my wolf priest? I like the look of the jet pack more then that blocks old model. Or would that be the worse thing ever? There is a jetpack wolf priest.....
My fellow noobs <gaming group> at this game lack creativity.

Does the inceptor jump pack work the same way as the normal jump pack? You could Definately do it. However, some aesthetic tboughts, the new inceptor seems to be more ranged firepower oriented and the poses reflect that. The original jump pack models tend to be more melee oriented which is what the rune priest is iirc.
Basically they are your models and you can do what you like, and an inceptor based rune priest would fit the purpose of the unit.

you can order jump packs from Bit'z Barn. You can also Green stuff on some wolf symbols OR cut them off another model than green stuff. Kit bashing is your friend.

Well if a wolf priest is jumping after some fast units the dynamic pose would be fine. He is jumping after his army.
After checking a wolf priest can carry a bolt pistol, a plasma pistol, powerfist, both types of grenades or a cruzius arcanum. And it can be equipped with a jump jet that increases its range from 5 or 6 to 12.

The nice thing about Space Wolves is that you can just glue on a bunch of wolf tails and pelts on a regular SW model and say, "This is a Wolf Priest." They wear black armor like chaplains so that's really the only important distinguishing feature, they don't even half to wear a helmet.

Is the space Wolf venerable dreadnought's head similar in scale to that of a spacewolves helmet? And if it is is there a place online that I could buy just the helmet? If so could you give the website address?

If you want single bits, try looking on eBay. I order from window-box and hoard o' bits pretty often.

I made a Wolf Priest with jump pack myself, using the standard chaplain with jump pack, sawing it's head off and replacing it with the "wolf helmet" from the Grey Hunter / Blood Claws box. There is also one in the Space Wolves upgrade set (not the one for the Primarins Marines). It worked pretty well for me. Unfortunatly I don't have a picture at hand to show it to you.

I don't just want a wolf head helmet the priest are suppose to have skull helms and from what I have seen with a couple models space wolves priests have a wolves skull helm. I am guna try doing that. If I can.

I think they are basically Chaplains, right? So you could always start with a Chaplain and make it more wolfy.

Wolf Priests are a pretty easy conversion. I did this one before the codex so it doesn’t have a power fist.
I used an assault marine, the space wolf upgrade sprue for the helmet, cloak back and the icon on the crozius. Wolf tails are from the pile of tails you always seem to collect.
The crozius is the power axe from the assault marines with the head sawed off.
The jetpack is magnetized so I can swap it on and off. (For a spellcrow piece when not at GW or a normal pack.)
I don’t think an inceptor would be nearly as easy a conversion.

Oh neat. Your space wolf preist looks great.
I like the look of the inceptor jetpack model. It maybe harder to kitbash. But ........ it would make a great looking guy if it was pulled off. One of the guys keeps shouting that you can not do it. But he has assburgers and lacks creativity. If the "preists" in 40k can have any older armor model then he can just take an unused new armor model......<mk?>. In the end it's going to sit on my shelf and not his so I should like how it looks.

FWIW, even after moving to this side of the pond, the best bitz sites I know are Let the Dice Decide and Bitz and Kits.
