Hello everyone!

With Book 8 dropping, I'm looking to put together a Chogorian Brotherhood White Scars list! Battlescribe still doesn't have Book 8 stuff in it yet as far as I can tell, so playing around with the Keshigs and the Khan are a little difficult. I don't need any exact lists or anything, just general info and advice on making a list using the info below!

(Warning: Lots of questions below)

This will be the first army like this I've made, generally I don't use lots of Fast Attacks in my armies, so I really do not know how to approach it! I know I will need at least 2 units of Sky Hunters/Outriders, and I'm limited to the 1 HS option. Would there be much of a benefit in putting more than 3 Jetbikes in a squad? Seeing as they have to be troops would taking multiple MSU be more effective? How many squads would be good before it got redundant? I also want to take at least 1 unit of each Keshig, because I plan on having the Khan in the list as well, so maybe a DT Spartan for the Ebon Keshig? Because the Chogorian Brotherhood RoW allows infantry units without certain weapon types to have Outflank, so it would gain Outflank with it's unit and that would also pull it out of the HS category.

Also, what Centurion/Praetor would be best for an army like this to fill the Comp HQ slot? From the little I've seen of Book 8 so far maybe a Warmonger, as he seems to fit the White Scars theme and allows a unit to Deep Strike (not like Jetbikes need it too much though). Maybe give him the really cool bow weapon? After the Comp HQ, would a Primus Medicae be a good idea to join the Golden Keshig alongside the Khagan or would that be too many points sunk into HQs?

And then to keep with the really quick moving theme, I'm thinking Land/Javelin Speeders in FA slots, and the Sky Slayers in the HS slot, unless the Whirlwind/Leviathan Dread would be a better option. Elites will probably be filled with the Ebon/Golden Keshig, so that kinda really fills out what would be in the slots.

I'm also trying to stay away from flyers as my local group of friends don't really like playing against them too much

Final question! What would be a good way to convert a Jaghatai Khan model using GW/FW stuff? He needs a big ol' bike I know, maybe cutting up and making one super bike from the Custode kits? Or using the FW ones. And then there's the problem of modeling the Khan himself, which I'm not sure how to go about doing that either. Any help on this front would be appreciated

Thanks for reading!

(Also, how close are the Jetbikes to the Vertus Praetors? If the size is close I can totally convert them, but if it doesn't work or is too wonky I don't have a problem buying a boatload of the FW ones :p )

Ended up making a bike for the Khan today out of the Vertis Praetors and some other kits!

Dawneagle bike to Scimitar bike is a wonky conversion since the weapon mounts are so wildly different, the other problem is that the Scimitar is dramatically longer than the Dawneagle.

If you want to go all-in on the Khan/Golden Keshig deathstar you could put a Chaplain in the compulsory HQ slot and take the Primus Medicae.

I'd consider a fire raptor for your heavy support as opposed to the sky slayers, since sky slayers get 1 good go at killing stuff and then tend to spend the rest of the game jinking. The popularity of ceramite plate also tends to limit their effectiveness. Fire raptors are decent against all targets (including air which is a big bonus) and much hardier in my opinion. Make sute you upgrade its missiles too.

Re the bike unit sizes i tend to take them in units of 4 personally. Also just because youre playing brotherhood dont overlook foot infantry, support squads outflanking are incredibly effective, especially supported by cyberhawks and swift action. They can also hiy and run out of combats they dont want to be in.

I think a normal Praetor/Delegatus on jet bike, Primus Med on jetbike, the Golden Keshig as a HQ slot. Minimal guns, maximum melee. Paragon blade + at least 5 Power Glaives. Might kill 5 man termies on turn one. You keep them far away from anything ap3 that has line of sight.
Then boom, you have a quick and really mobile Deathstar. You need to rely on good placement and jinks to keep them alive. Don't even both with artillery list, only donkey-caves use phosphex, it needs to a better nerf

Elite you know what you're doing.

Also you should make at least 6 man jetbike troop squads. 3 man jetbikes can die to fury of the legion, so 6 is much safer. Arm them how you want, fit the needs of your army.

Fast attack depends on your army. you need a good mix of ap3, ap2 and anti tank. You really need to tailor the list to how you want to play. You need to pick how you want to play your army now. You could go full shooty and have javelins. or you could go super agro and have melta bomb attack bikes. or even a flyer for super dakka.,

Heavy Support is either a Sicarian (kill ap 3) or the Sky Slayers (kill termies or tanks, I reckon multimelta are better if you have a lot of power glaives in every other unit). If you want, a Leviathan in a Drop Pod. sure man, if you got the cash, do it. Those things are terrifying, expensive though. both in points and money

At the end of the day. you have to build the army you want. You should build an army that suits your play style. Do you like to see your army circle around the other player's army and rain death on them? Do you want to be quick and sharp, kill everything really quickly? Do you want half your army to be quick and really annoying, and your BIG THINGS (Qin Xa deepstrike Ebon Keshig in enemy back lines/ leviathan road block). You need to figure out your play style.

Bruh yes, your Khan on jetbike looks really good. Keep those pics coming.

Keep me updated. I'm curious to see what you build. You can PM me the list if you want?

Awesome! That's a lot of good info to keep in mind. I'll see what I can think up for a list soon! I'm actually going to Warhammer World in a couple weeks so I plan on getting almost everything I need there! I'll PM you soon!
