Feasting on the souls of unworthy opponents

Hey folks!

I've spent the last bunch of months trying to have custom angry marine dice made to go with my custom angry marine army. They are done!
Spoiler:

You can get the whole story here: ANGRY DICE

I'm going to end up making a dakka trade and a bartertown link because I only wanted 100 dice, not thousands, but my choices were thousands or nothing.

What are you going to do with five thousand of them? It usually takes us a year or so to get rid of only one thousand among our club, and there's fifty members there.

It's really cool to see "the" angry marine guy that made them famous. Might make great gifts for my friends who browse 1d4 Chan. I can't imagine how much it cost to bulk order several thousand custom tooled dice with multiple colors

Mind sharing the company you did your business with? I'd love to get my own custom dice.

It was a bit less than $5k. I only wanted 100, but the minimum order quantity was 10,000; I negotiated it down to 5,000.

That's absolutely right. Any time you roll a one, its a big fat middle finger, so ...I just made it fit.

12mm. And that was the catch - none of the normal dice manufacturers will do custom dice in smaller than 16mm. The whole story is in the imgur link I put in the OP.

I'm going to try reselling them to recoup my manufacturing cost. Once they show up in the next week or two (they shipped from China today) I'm going to make a Dakka trade post, a Bartertown post, and slowly hope to get rid of them in blocks of 36, or 50, or 100, or anything really. I only wanted 100. =D If any of the US options had been willing to give me colors that I wanted, I might not have had to buy thousands.

SO ANGRY! They'll be for sale when they get here!

Sure - its in the imgur link in the OP. It's a chinese manufacturing company.

I think you'd have a better chance selling them on Facebook (which is more heavily meme-favoured). Regardless, if you price them reasonable, I think you'll sell all the ones you don't want. If, however, you paid way too much to have them custom made...you may struggle a bit.

I "think" you'll do fine.

Thanks!

They showed up in the mail today, I made a "WTS" thread - along with some reddit activity and we'll see how it goes.

Actually, I bought 5,000 of them - which was the minimum order quantity. I dropped a post on Dakka in the swapshop (and got two customers) and a post in the Facebook "40k Buy/Sell" group - where I sold 3,000 dice in a week. I pulled my ad down because I'm going on a road trip / vacation next week - but that was the gamble: I bet other people would like them too, would buy them, and help defray the cost of manufacturing - and I was right!

I kinda want just one for my dice box, but not quite worth the hassle of getting it here ;p

While not a fan of Angry Marines, I admire your enthusiasm and not giving up on these dice.
The final result is well worth it and I'm glad you could already sell a large portion of them.
