Hi guys,
I have recently changed my list, this is the new one:

++ HQ ++

Praetor: cataphractii armor, master crafted parangon blade, digital lasers, sonic shrieker
Champion: scimitar jetbike, phoenix spear, sonic shrieker
Chaplain: sonic shrieker, crozus arcanum, artificer armor, jump pack, plasma pistol (to stay WYSIWYG)

++ ELITES ++

Apothecarion detachment :3 apothecaries, 1 with jump pack
Contemptor dreadnought: kheres cannon, extra armour, close combat weapon
Palatine Blades: 9 palatines warriors, 5 phoenix spears, 1 prefector with phoenix spear, 10 jump pack, 10 artificer armors, 10 sonic shriekers
Terminators: 5 terminators, 4 powerfists, 1 phoenix spear, combi bolters

++ TROOPS ++
Tactical Squad: 14 marines, 1 sergeant with artificer armor, 1 vexila
Tactical Squad: 14 marines, 1 sergeant with artificer armor, 1 vexila

++ FAST ATTACK ++
Javelin Speeder: 2 hunter-killer missiles, twin linked missile launchers, multi melta
Javelin Speeder: 2 hunter-killer missiles, twin linked missile launchers, multi melta
Sky hunter Squadron: 2 heavy bolter, 1 multi melta, 1 phoenix spear

++ HEAVY SUPPORT ++
Support Squad: 5 lascannons, 1 augury scanner

The Hidden Blade would be the terminators, the dreadnought and the sky hunter squadron, with the accompanying characters. Keep in mind the speeders have deep strike so could "join" them if needed by their own means.
So, I know cataphractii armors totally negate EC legion trait, but the models have a 4++ and they are gorgeous. If I am to send them against the very best of my opponent, I think I need the 4++ (wanted to add an apothecary the the terminator but I would need one more HQ and a model).

There are a few areas of improvement, and I am particularly unhappy with the high cost of the PB squad and also the support squad (would autocannons be interesting ? I'm afraid of the S of only 7 and the weak AP4 !
What do you guys think ?

I tend to prefer Assault squads to Tactical squads for melee Troops; they're more expensive but they get to melee faster and can have power weapons when they do.

My worry about dropping the lascannons off the Support squads is that your anti-heavy armour is then just the three multi-meltas. It's doable if you don't see a lot of Land Raiders in your meta but if you do I'd keep the lascannons if I were you.

Balanced Game: Noun. A game in which all options and choices are worth using.

I dunno. No one’s going to let the Cataphractii Terminators charge them, ever. They’re too easy to avoid if they aren’t coming out of an assault vehicle. The Sky Hunter squadron is too small to do anything and they’re a poor platform for melee weapons. It’s even worse with an unfocused loadout - a LOT of points for a single multimelta shot or a few heavy bolters, but also very points-inefficient for a melee squad. Outriders would serve you better, but if you’re giving your Palatine Blades jump packs I’d consider taking other jump pack units (Destroyers?) so that the ‘Blades aren’t alone where they’ll be easily picked off.

I’m basically looking for more focus. More units that have similar movement characteristics so they can fight as a bloc.

Lascannon heavy support squads are apparently fluffy for Emperor’s Children (Sun Killers). I kinda like them. The main argument against them is that you have too many high-cost units, and these guys might be too vulnerable. A Rhino could at least block line of sight and charges from one direction, even if they never board it. (Rhinos do a lot for 35 points.) I’d keep them on the back line with one large tactical squad and replace the other one with an Assault Squad.

I second the 'delivery vehicle for terminators' notion.

i'd swap the chaplains plasma pistol to a bolt pistol and give the champion a paragon blade instead of the spear at least rules wise. Instant death is just such a useful rule and Phoenix spears are hot trash outside of a charge

The Terminators are outflanking on a guaranteed turn, so there's much worse ways they could be used. However, isn't Tartaros like much better for EC though? As well as better looking imo. There's a reason that Phoenix Guard wear Tartaros.

Also, going to the effort of Maru Skaru doesn't seem worth it when your blade is 5 Terminators, 3 Bikes, and a cheap Contemptor... you can use this RoW to get guaranteed turn 2 Primaris Lightnings for example, or to help a blob of Phoenix Guard get their charge, there is much good stuff you can do with it, this feels kinda wasted.

Just my feedback on the list, if you particularly love Cataphractii, there's worse ways to run them I guess.
