So I've decided to not be such a hard head in terms of buying third party miniatures. Now my only question is what is the best site or from personal experience which ones are better?

I've looked at Victoria miniatures which is very nice but any other suggestions are welcome.

Thank you!

Anvil Industries do a resin "Regiments" system, where you choose the style of each part of the body: legs (kneeling/sitting, standing, advancing), torso, head, arms, weapon. They're compatible with GW's Cadians.

So you choose Long Greatcoat bodies and legs, and there are Ushanka heads with normal faces, gasmasks or full visors. Female heads, with female-form bodies, legs and arms too. There are arms for heavy weapons, artillery and command options, as well as shooting and carrying. Even a sprue of "command gesture hands"! And guns, gear and banners - even trumpets.

And to check you like your creation, there's a builder tool that lets you see your options together and puts them in the cart if you're happy.

Cost is about £30 for 10 troops, but completely customizable, and the resin is crisp, detailed and clean of mouldlines. They do cheap worldwide shipping too.

Yeah I've seen that but they want 83USD for that and that's a no go for me. I'm not really a fan of anvils pieces either.
Thank you though

Que?

A full platoon of wannabee valhallans with 25 models is that price.

Victoria miniatures has an alternative altough: not as customizable and 49 $ per 10 men squad?

Allow me to introduce you to Puppetswar and Reptilian Overlords.
I can vouch for the extremely high quality of miniatures from both of these shops. As much as i use and enjoy Victoria minis, i have to admit those sculpts are inferior.

But i will definitely give a +1 for Anvil Industries, as someone else mentioned above. The variety of options is something you'll definitely wanna consider.

There's also a squad option with the right kind of bodies (or you can buy the bodies separate):

Hey, no worries. If you're going to be painting a platoon, you need to like the minis :-D

Ever thought of buying a historical force to convert? You'll get 40 Winter WWII Soviet troops for that £30 from Warlord Games. They will be a lot less chunky than SF troops made to mix with GW models, although other (metal) models may be closer.

Those Svargans on the Victoria Miniatures site look nice - reminds me I still want a squad of Broolians!

Ever thought of a straight historical force to convert? You'll get 40 Winter WWII Soviet troops for that £30 from Warlord Games. They will be a lot less chunky than SF troops made to mix with GW models though.

Historicals are iffy.
I recently converted some 8,8 cm Flak into field guns for my renegades (used as heavy mortar) had to replace all barrells with an AC one to get a propper size effect.

Same's true for all historical artillery and tank guns. The barrel on a Leman Russ is HUGE!

I used the italieri 8,8 plastic one.
And even now it looks more like a fast firing field gun

200mm gun probably is a bc.

Converting is another idea I didnt think of before. But after looking around those Victoria ones are pretty nice.

You can probably use a various configurations, some as conscripts, some regular and some elite vets; here are some madrobots miniatures configs that I use for my valhallan stand ins, I also got some female valhallans from Victoria, but theyre still on sprue.
